Description: yellow colour
Appearance: crystalline yellow powder with a delicate fragrance
Orgin: as a natural pigment found in foods: milk, yoghurt, buttermilk, yeast, lean cheese, almonds, walnuts, mushrooms, venision, liver, green parts of vegetables, salamon, trout, mackerel, wholemeal bread, clam, bean, peas, soy and various types of meat
Appearance: krystaliczny proszek o barwie żółtej, o delikatnym zapachu
Commercially prepared from yeasts. It is also manufactured synthetically.
Application: yellow food colour
Daily intake: up to 0,5mg/kg body weight according to EFSA (European Food Safety Authority)
- is not very soluble in water.
- can be consumed by all religious groups, vegans and vegetarians
- although it can be produced from milk, this is not done commercially
- it is important in the functioning of the eye
